nbc is going green for the week

Last night while shone and I were watching the sunday night football game, patriots vs colts, I saw advertisement for NBC being green all week.  I really think this is such a cool thing.  I was curious to see how it would all happen.  Tonight we watched heroes.  Love that show!  and  I have to say that they had some cool approaches.  First of all, Heroes started with the actors doing a pre show plant a tree clip, talking about ways to show how you can reduce carbon emissions.  Throughout the show tonight, I saw three websites advertised:

1. green is universal
2. ecomagination
3. earth 911

About halfway through the show they had a little shout out with earth911 and that you could find out where to recycle your computer.

All in all I thought that it was a great idea.  It's tough and unrealistic to get people to make big changes, but that's what's so beautiful about a lot of people making little changes, because it adds up quickly.  Devoting a week, and changing the logo to green, to help create awareness....I applaud them.

I really looked forward to the commercials tonight, I felt like I was watching the superbowl!  he he
