our burlesque troupe is growing!

Last night we had a little get together at the Satellite. Bohemian Burlesque played and teased the audience, and it was HOT! Hope you were there to see that! They entertained to a full house, and it was quite difficult for Shone to even get near the show.
There were quite a few photographers in the house last night. I was bartending and while looking out into the crowd, I saw so many cameras, and I don't mean the little digital kind, I mean the canons, and mark 3. I hope they all got great pictures, because they were the ones up in the front who could get them.

It was great seeing so many smiling faces, friends, and so much love and support from the crowd at the satellite last night. Our cover story in the RN&R (here in reno) had just come out that day. It was fun having so many people send their love and likes of the article. It is really quite complicated yet so simple to describe bohemian crush and what it is about, and the article got a beautiful glimpse of some of the elements of what we are.
We feel In life, not all things are needed to be explained so thoroughly and understandably. Where would the mystery and imagination be if it were? It's more important in life for all of us to find things that we relate to, and that inspire us, because it makes it possible for us all to find a connection and then to fill in lots of our own adventures, which adds so much color to our own unique canvas and path of life.

We are so thankful for the many friends who support us. I could sit here and try to say all of their names, but then it would be like the oscars, where they start playing the music because your speech is too long. All I know is that without any of them, we would not be where we are today and growing into the future!

If you are in the local reno area, and would like to join our burlesque troupe, we would like to hear from you. We practice on Sundays, but if you can't make it, please don't let that stop you. There is always a way when the desire is there, please email me: georgette and I will get you linked in. We are a newly forming troupe, with more girls and now some boys who like to come in, join, and play. We are light-hearted, loving, silly types; some of which have dance and performance experience and some of those who don't. There are fire, stilt, hula, and aerialist performers, singers, jugglers, and much more who have joined to play with our troupe off and on. We welcome you to do the same. NO, that is not correct! We highly encourage you to do the same! and join the burlesque, even if you can't make the practices, there is always a way to participate and share your time and bliss with us. We don't take things or life too seriously, so please be prepared for some free thinking, wandering spirits. We share our time and love together, because we want to, not because it is our job, and that it is what we must do. We all participate on what our level is, and we all enjoy the variety that it creates. Please come play with us.

Before the Pink Party, we had to run to the underground to pick up some flyers for David. I love this Tex, she belongs to Steve, one of the owners of The Underground, she was wearing PINK that night, and i had to have a picture

Rob(SF) was nonstop laughs and entertainment this year! We are doing a follow on his art piece this year on the playa. We had great fun on his last years piece, and thanks to that beautiful piece of art, we found a new friend. This year he brought Anesthesia to the playa. He showed up Thursday before Burning Man started, (we showed up the earlier tuesday) and he drove straight in to our party on the playa! Our camp this year LOST threw the big DPW party, for all of the volunteers at burning man! They are incredible people, and we are all thankful for their love and devotion. It was great seeing Rob there, and a few other friends. We'll be posting the pictures and more information on his art piece soon, and I'll post the updates here!

We had so much fun hanging at the Deep End this year on the playa! They put on one great day party. From 12Noon-8pm everyday, you can always count on a big dance crowd, great shows, hula queens! It is simply incredible. In the hot beating sun, you are pampered with otter-pops as you dance!

Kaycee and I during our first burlesque show! Oh what an amazing night it was. I never thought that a year ago I would be performing on stage. It was so much fun, I am 100% addicted! We have a brain storm meeting this week to get our practice schedules going. I'll have the pictures from the event up within the next day or so.

What I wouldn't give to have a martini glass like that!! Wow, I could play in that forever. I hope our troupe gets enough support here really soon so we can get some really cool props for our performances. I wish I wish I wish I wish!

wishing you all a fantastic weekend

I just woke up to snow on the front yard! Never even knew it was coming. Shone and I sat out on the front porch yesterday in shorts and tanks, eating breakfast. Can you believe it!
This weekend is going to be lots of fun.
I am performing in my first burlesque show tonight! I am so excited, we are already getting bookings in the area, and have lots more girls who want to join our troupe! I am so ELATED!!!
I'll post some pictures of the show over the weekend!
I just wanted to take this time to wish you all a wonderful and happy weekend!

I am working on some articles right now, and I think you are going to enjoy them. It is my first step of writing a pillar article for my blog, I have been reading a few other blogs lately about writing, and getting your information dispersed into the internet land. I am really excited about it. 2008 has so many new adventures coming to bohocrush, I am so delighted and tickled silly!
