Boy, last years burning man experience, has been one of the best ever. There were so many adventures that were planted while on the playa. And so many of them have already been started, and growing and gathering momentum.
sometimes I sit back and think I am watching a TV station with all kinds of channels, and then all of a sudden I realize that we are on all of the channels, it's really trippy, because its such an out of body experience...... it just makes my mind wander off and find a calm place, a place where I can reboot, and in the process am able to grow my mental ability to take on even more, but in a calm, relaxed, and slow intake of information. It is a great journey and current lesson of my life:
"slow down..........................., there is no hurry, things will manifest of which those will manifest, and those that won't will not, don't use your energy battling an unnecessary battle, instead, refocus, use that energy to love, to share, and to grow. Let go, open up your arms, and expose yourself to the world, fill your heart and mind with love, smile, and simply enjoy everything there is around you."
Last year we made a connection with two amazing people. Mykal and Vee. A talented, creative, sexy, and passionate couple. We met them online, and were able to meet them in person on the playa last year. It just so happens that they came to our rescue, and were able to give david, a friend of ours, (that you all know by now) a ride to burning man from LA. They just happened to be riding up with Sujon and Victor of lightworship.com, and we were able to meet yet another amazing couple! (we are so in love with all of you of whom the universe has treated us to!)
Shone and I really wanted to be a fly on their motor home wall, we knew or at least hoped they would all have fun and enjoy their time together. It's not everyday I try to put complete strangers together: a dj from the U.K. with a fetish/rope/fire artist/photographer and a fetish/rope artist/pornographer in a long ride on their way to burning man, a radical festival of magnitude out in the middle of a desert, with extreme conditions, and all of which are virgins(never been to burning man)........all I can say here, is trust in the universe, and just know that everything will be fine, and work out. Burning man does that to you...it's one of those things that you really can't explain too well, but you really understand when it happens to you first hand. Things will be, they will happen as they need, and when the right time presents it so. Life is uncontrollable timing, patience and flow. Getting in the burner frame of mind! Oh how I miss the playa....anybody else?
can you feel it on your skin, can you feel it in your heart, can you hear the magic? oh my, I am really thinking of the playa right now, and all of the magic that happens out there.
It's so exciting to help out the Shiva Vista project...reno's largest art project to hit the playa. A performance stage in fact of which mykalbinds.com will be performing on this year on the playa!!! yahooo! (Make sure you come to the next fundraiser party on April 19th, 2008 at the Zephyr if you are in reno. I'll post flyer when I get it.)
Mykal is up for some business in reno, and while they are here we get to visit, and hopefully get some photoshoots in with them. Mykal has to work on saturday, and A_delle and I want to kidnap vee and take her to the park to hula hoop! We shall see what arises. We are just so excited to get to see them, and have the opportunity to discuss the playa a little bit. They are all confirmed with tickets in hand for this year, and with more friends. We can hardly wait to see what adventure that will be!
-I love all of the magical adventures that we come across. I am surely in no hurry to jump anywhere anytime fast. I simply am having too much fun just enjoying the moment, and enjoying all the magic around me. Looking forward to giving mykal and vee a big hug!!!!
Last night we had a little get together at the Satellite. Bohemian Burlesque played and teased the audience, and it was HOT! Hope you were there to see that! They entertained to a full house, and it was quite difficult for Shone to even get near the show.
There were quite a few photographers in the house last night. I was bartending and while looking out into the crowd, I saw so many cameras, and I don't mean the little digital kind, I mean the canons, and mark 3. I hope they all got great pictures, because they were the ones up in the front who could get them.
We feel In life, not all things are needed to be explained so thoroughly and understandably. Where would the mystery and imagination be if it were? It's more important in life for all of us to find things that we relate to, and that inspire us, because it makes it possible for us all to find a connection and then to fill in lots of our own adventures, which adds so much color to our own unique canvas and path of life.
We are so thankful for the many friends who support us. I could sit here and try to say all of their names, but then it would be like the oscars, where they start playing the music because your speech is too long. All I know is that without any of them, we would not be where we are today and growing into the future!
If you are in the local reno area, and would like to join our burlesque troupe, we would like to hear from you. We practice on Sundays, but if you can't make it, please don't let that stop you. There is always a way when the desire is there, please email me: georgette and I will get you linked in. We are a newly forming troupe, with more girls and now some boys who like to come in, join, and play. We are light-hearted, loving, silly types; some of which have dance and performance experience and some of those who don't. There are fire, stilt, hula, and aerialist performers, singers, jugglers, and much more who have joined to play with our troupe off and on. We welcome you to do the same. NO, that is not correct! We highly encourage you to do the same! and join the burlesque, even if you can't make the practices, there is always a way to participate and share your time and bliss with us. We don't take things or life too seriously, so please be prepared for some free thinking, wandering spirits. We share our time and love together, because we want to, not because it is our job, and that it is what we must do. We all participate on what our level is, and we all enjoy the variety that it creates. Please come play with us.
Hope to see you at one of our next events or get togethers. We have lots of magical things in the works. Please keep an eye on our bohocrush calendar under events. (a non-member section of the website)
It was so great seeing Kristi again, and spending time with her. We love her energy, her goddessness, and her playfulness. Do you think david was bothered? ;)
thank you again ryano for creating a fun party for us to come play at. We are really getting to like Bliss NightClub. Such a fun place to hang out with all of your friends. I really enjoy looking up and seeing david playing!
I came across Green Eggs and Planet today, and stopped in for a look-see. I liked the happiness of this blog, and I really liked all of the great information that is presented. I like to share blogs like these, because wether it's something new, or you already enjoy this, it's always great to see and learn about ways to help the planet. It's pretty obvious now that our planet needs our help. The same reason why many times people get cancers, lack of health, circulation, and poor eating and living habits, is the same thing that is being transferred onto the planet. It's time we all stop the resistance, and instead just find small little ways everyday, that help us help the planet. We need her, don't you all agree. Without her, where would you live? Do you think there is a big group of people out there making sure to have a place to live for you, like most of your parents have. Please rethink that option. If left into your own hands, what would you do? What connection do you have to the environment, to the planet? Are you in love with her, are you in angst with her, do you take it out on her? Remember, she is here for you, but it takes a mutual understanding to flourish. And first and foremost she needs to take care of the plants and the animals that balance out the means and ends that we all need to exist. If you have some cool things to share with us all on ways that you stay connected and help out the planet, please share. Would love to learn. And I leave you with this, ever see the new series out, Planet Earth, if you need some inspiration, and time to reconnect and can't get back in nature, I strongly recommend watching. Sit back, eat some healthy organic fruit, drink lots of water, and think love, peace, and enjoy the world around you.
I love Shone, duh!! and I know that I get a little silly and giddy when I talk about him, because I love him so much. He is my best friend, my lover, my business partner, and my guru. He inspires me to climb the highest peak, and fills me with so much love. I am truly thankful to the universe for him.
He is a very patient soul, and has shared so much wisdom with me over the years. He has really inspired me to find more peace, happiness, and more love than I could have ever tapped into. His wisdom and experience goes way beyond some things in this world. I always tell him he has to be from another planet.
Okay, well I could go on forever, and most of you know, I will continue somewhere, but for now I really wanted to share with you a great lesson of life he has helped me with.
Imagine when there is so much in life that you want to do, you can visualize exactly what you want, and are so motivated and determined to make it happen. But what if you don't have all the necessary tools to make it happen. What if you start feeling a little overwhelmed by life, and feel that you are getting off your path, and are really doing your best to keep everything going? Ever happen to you. I am constantly hit by this emotion every single day of my life. And I get such great feedback from everybody, great ideas, tips, and it all adds to the pile. But sometimes in our life, we can feel that there is so much to do, that we don't know where to start.
I keep climbing that mountain, however I do take smaller steps, and I breathe more deeply now inbetween, and it feels so heavenly. (until of course my next lesson, but shone is always there to breathe life, energy, light, and surround me with hope, and our determination)
Thank you all for letting me share..............my thoughts
The mother tiger after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started to decline in health,
Although physically she was fine. The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter had caused
The tigress to fall into a depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate
Another mother's cubs, perhaps she would improve.
After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing news was that there
Were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The veterinarians
Decided to try something that had never been tried in a zoo environment. Sometimes a mother
Of one species will take on the care of a different species. The only orphans' that could be
Found quickly, were a litter of weanling pigs. The zoo keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in
Tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger. Would they become cubs or pork chops?
Take a look...you won't believe your eyes!!
Shone was quite the adventurer that day, and ended up getting us stuck in the snow. But hey, we were up there to get a photo shoot, so I rallied the troops, and got us moving up the mountain to get our pictures. The Snow was deep and David, Shone, Alissa, and I, kept falling in deep passed our knees. We found a great little spot to try some pictures! Alissa rocked it! The night before she had mentioned that she was not sure yet how far she wanted to go, and like I always tell all of the people we shoot, "this is your experience just as it is ours, only go to where you are comfortable, and that will be that." Well, saturday, she gets up on the rock, removes all of her clothes and rocks out her first full nude shoot! It was so hot!!!! To see the danger booty running around naked in the snow was heaven! I loved being her reflection girl!!!
The universe was kind to us, and after coming back to get warm and ready for the next shoot, a beautiful big truck had pulled up, and had a winch on their truck. In the meantime we had called Captain Canada to come rescue us, but thankfully somebody was right there to help us out! Thank goodness for big trucks with a nice strong winch.
She was a flasher on this old beautiful bridge over the Truckee River too. We were hoping nobody was going to come by.
We all went home and took a power nap, to prepare for the evening. More photo shoots with the booty, and Scott was going to be joining us.
Alissa brought so many cool things to shoot in! She is really good about putting things together. In the future Alissa will become one of our prop, costume seekers, makers, and assistants to bohocrush, as well as her photos! We love how versatile we all are.
Kendra was here doing makeup, and she continues to blow our minds! She loves what she does, she's always happy, kind, and loving, and even at the last minute when we needed a mohawk on Scott, she never even skipped a beat, and pulls out an instant mohawk on Scott, for Alissa's and Scott's photoshoot! It was so hot!!!! All I can say, is that having a room full of goddesses directing a photo shoot with a couple, and shone directing and taking pictures, is one fun way to do a photo shoot.
David was upstairs entertaining all of our other guests, playing music, and chatting, while we were all downstairs working!!! I love having little get togethers like that when we shoot. The troop had gathered earlier to go out for the Reno Passport Bash, at Bliss Nightclub. Such a beautiful venue it is. We are looking forward to throwing some fun parties there in the future. We were quite exhausted when we showed up, after just starting to feel better from the icky flu, and working all day, I quickly faded and had to come home.
The boys over at Reno Passport are doing an amazing job, of uniting the artistic, and creative community of Reno. We were so happy to have been able to show up for the time that we did!
Sunday Captain Canada took the booty and I out to lunch, and we hit a couple stores for Alissa. The Melting Pot, Chocolate Walrus, Rad Betty's, and Fantasy Faire. She really wanted to make it to Savers, but we ran out of time. Next time she comes for another photoshoot, and rooftop party at the Amendment 21, we'll get her over there.
Excited for you all to see the shoots. Although, not sure when they will post, but bohocrush definately took the next step in its quest for erotic, and artistic nude shoots! I love this journey!!! It is the most exhilarating one of my life!
No doubt the weekend will be full of laughs, Scott will also be coming over tomorrow to be in some shoots with her. She has a lot of ideas for some fetish looks and strategically placed limbs. Will be one magical weekend.
I would love to point out at this point some amazing nicknames Alissa has acquired: danger booty, cranky camel toe, love bunny, and zasu badonkadunk! We are never at a loss for ideas when she is around.
We love to stay with Alissa when we visit the city. She has some fun craft making project going on, and she takes us to the best stores. Last time she took us to the Rainbow Food Co-op, and we loved it! We always go there and or Cafe Gratitude when we visit the city. I really wish we had places like that here in reno. Someday.
I will make sure to have my little camera on me this weekend, we'll get lots of fun pictures, and I will update my blog about it after the weekend. I am so happy she is here!
I'm addicted to nature, and the animals that inhabit it. Ever since I was a child, I always watched all of the shows that had anything to do with them. Thank you father for sharing your biggest love with me. Anytime I watch a movie with animals, or something going on with the planet, I am hooked, and usually for happiness or sadness, will cry like a little girl. This happens on a weekly if not daily basis. Yes, I am crazy, and I love it. A friend passed along these pictures to me in my inbox today, and I just really wanted to share with you, the wonderful time I just had. Animals and nature are very comforting to me. I could sit and look for years......nature's best photography
